Hit 500 book club meetings and nobody checked the count

I keep a tally in my planner for our neighborhood book club, just for fun. Last Tuesday we hit meeting number 500, which works out to about 96 books if you count the rereads and the one month we did two graphic novels. I announced it while passing the snack plate and Karen goes, 'Is that like a calorie count or something?' Nobody clapped or cared, but my tally sheet has coffee stains on three different pages and that's my real trophy. Has anyone else hit a random milestone that felt way bigger to you than to the group?

Why do you need the group to validate your own tracking system? The tally sheet with coffee stains is proof you showed up, not proof they owed you a parade. Maybe Karen's snark was actually the most honest reaction you could have gotten.
