That one boiler tube that fought me for a whole shift
Had a job replacing a bent tube in a water tube boiler up in Toledo, and the old one just would not come out. We tried the usual tricks, heat, a good puller, even a slide hammer. What should have been a two-hour swap turned into an eight-hour fight. Finally got it by cutting a relief slot with a porta-band (carefully, you know) to break the scale seal. Anyone have a better method for a really stubborn tube that's just fused in there?

Everything fights you when you're on the clock.

It's like time itself becomes your enemy. The printer jams, your computer slows down, and even simple tasks take twice as long. That pressure to finish makes every little problem feel huge. You start watching the clock, and each minute that passes just adds to the stress. It's a weird kind of law that only seems to apply when you're against a deadline.

Hear me out though, I think it's not exactly that everything fights you. It's more like you just notice every little annoyance way more when you're stressed about the clock. Like, your printer has always jammed at the worst moments, you just didn't care as much when you had an hour to spare. That broken stapler's been there for weeks but you only trip over it when you're rushing.
