Showerthought: The old boiler at the paper mill on River Road
Last month I had to fix a beat-up Cleaver-Brooks boiler from the 70s at the old mill on River Road, and it ran smooth as silk once I cleaned the burner tips. Three years ago I would've just swapped the whole thing out without thinking, but now I wonder if we're too quick to replace stuff instead of fixing it. Any of you guys see old boilers still chugging along better than new ones?

Used to think newer was always better, but that Cleaver-Brooks changed my mind, lol.

Haha yeah my definition of "new and improved" is basically just "newly broken in my garage.
