Just realized better prep work cut my weld cleanup in half
I used to just hit stuff with a grinder and go straight to welding, figured it was fine. Then I saw a guy at the shop in Gary spend 20 minutes cleaning up a 4-inch pipe joint before he even struck an arc. His weld came out so clean I barely had to touch it with a flap disc. Now I take that extra time on prep and it saves me way more time grinding later. Any of you guys notice a big difference from changing up your prep routine?
