Just hit 1,000 welds without a single do-over on a big tank job
Just wanted to share because it blew my mind how consistent I'd gotten without even noticing. It was on a standard 3/8 inch plate with 7018 rods, nothing fancy, but the rhythm just clicked. Anyone else track their flawless runs like this or am I just weird?

I used to figure a perfect run was just luck, but after a few jobs where the stars aligned, I started seeing patterns. It's like your body learns the arc length and travel speed without you even trying, and suddenly it just clicks. Tracking those runs has actually helped me find my weak spots, like when I'm rushing or getting tired. It's not weird at all, it's smart. Good on you for hitting a thousand, that's a solid milestone.

A thousand runs? Man, that's a lot of time staring at a finish line. Is tracking it really that different from just getting in the zone and not overthinking it? I always figured if you have to count them, you're probably trying too hard to make it happen instead of just letting it.
