Caught myself explaining rivet patterns to a kid with a 3D printer model.
I'd like to hear how others are keeping traditional methods alive.

My dad's rivet gun taught me more than any 3D model could.

Faithfox asked if old ways are important when we can just print new stuff. But what happens when the printer breaks or the power goes out? Knowing how to actually fix something with your hands, like using a rivet gun, means you aren't stuck. It's the difference between making a quick print and understanding why things hold together in the first place.
