Tried teaching my grandma Spirit Island, she ended up banning ME from game night

Last Sunday I brought Spirit Island to my parents' place in Columbus thinking it'd be a fun challenge. My grandma, who still wins at Catan every single time, insisted on joining. Two hours in, she had the invaders completely blocked off with 4 blight tokens left and I hadn't even figured out my second power card. She looked at me and said, 'Sweetie, maybe you should stick to checkers.' Now she's demanding we play it again next week, which honestly terrifies me. Has anyone else had a family member just absolutely click with a heavy game way faster than them?
