Still prefer paper maps after trying GPS hiking apps for 3 months
The phone app kept losing signal in the Shenandoah backcountry and drained my battery by 2pm, while the old paper map I folded in my pocket never failed once, so has anyone else gone back to paper after giving digital navigation a fair shot?
