Shoutout to the guy who taught me to count spaces in 7 Wonders

I was at PAX Unplugged in Philly last year and this older guy saw me struggling with a science strategy in 7 Wonders. He just said "count how many green cards everyone has, not just your own" and it totally clicked why I always lost. Has anyone else had a random stranger fix their whole game approach in like 10 seconds?

Nah, looking at what everyone else collects just makes it harder to find good stuff. Now you're competing with everyone for the same things instead of stumbling onto hidden gems nobody's hunting for. I've walked past full price games and toys that nobody wanted, built a whole collection no one else would even look at. Going your own way is the only way to keep prices down and actually enjoy the hunt.
