Old guy at the game store told me to sleeve my cards from day one. I ignored him for 2 years.
He was right. My copy of Dominion looks like a dog chewed it. Corners all bent up. Cards stick together. Now I spend every Saturday night re-sleeving a 10 year old collection. Should have just listened.

@the_jordan I gotta disagree on the sleeves being a scam part. Sure you can play with bent cards, but the game feels way worse. Have you ever tried shuffling a sleeved Dominion deck versus a sticky, sweaty one? Night and day. I've replaced cards before because the print faded and you could see what was coming through the back. You're right that a fresh Dominion is cheap, but good sleeves cost about 8 bucks for 100 and last years. I've got sets from 2016 still going strong.

Actually gonna go against the grain here... sleeves are a scam to sell you more plastic. I've been playing card games for 15 years and never sleeved a single deck. My Magic cards from 2008 are still totally playable, just a little dirty. Most of my board games are still fine too after hundreds of plays. People act like a slightly bent corner means the game is ruined but it still shuffles and plays exactly the same. And honestly spent way more money on sleeves over the years than I ever would have on replacing a few beat up decks. Dominion is like 40 bucks new... you probably spent triple that on sleeves by now.
