My buddy's take on Kickstarter exclusives made me pause

He said FOMO is why I own 4 unplayed games, and honestly he wasn't wrong after I counted them last Saturday. How do you guys decide if a Kickstarter edition is actually worth the extra cash?

$50 shipping on a $150 game that needs a patch day one. Hard pass.

I get where you're coming from @jenniferb53, but $50 for shipping on a $150 game doesn't sound that bad if you think about it. Collector's editions are heavy and the box alone is probably huge, plus day one patches are just how things work now with complex games.
