My brother in law said my Catan board was "too neat" and honestly it stung
He looked at my hexes all lined up perfect and said real games are supposed to look messy, and now I keep staring at my shelf wondering if I overthink setup way too much.

I used to roll my eyes at super tidy boards too, like it meant you were fussing more than playing. Then I watched a clean setup actually make the game faster and more fun, and now I'm all for it.
