I started logging every game I play in a $2 notebook and it fixed my group's biggest problem
Our Tuesday group kept having the same fight about who won last time we played Ticket to Ride. Nobody could agree and it turned into a whole thing. So I grabbed a cheap spiral notebook from Walgreens and started writing down the date, the game, and who won. That was 7 months ago and we have not had one argument since. Now we just flip back a few pages and the answer is right there. Anyone else keep a game log, or do you just trust your memory?
Does the notebook ever get used against you though? Like has anyone in the group ever tried to argue that the log was wrong or that someone forgot to write a game down? That feels like where this system could fall apart, one missing entry and it's right back to the same fight. Also curious if you track anything besides who won, like scores or how long the game took, or is it just date game winner and nothing else. Seven months is a long run without a single dispute so you must be doing something right.
