I finally got my game group to show up on time by changing one thing

We had a 7pm start for Gloomhaven every Thursday, but people kept rolling in at 7:30, so I told everyone the game started at 6:30 sharp. Last week, all four of us were actually ready to play by 7:05 for the first time ever. Has anyone else found a simple trick that fixed a chronic group problem?

Call it a white lie that gets results. People respect a hard start time more when they think they're already late. You fixed the actual problem without hurting anyone.
