Vent: Guy at the Ohio forge day called propane setups cheating, but half the guys there run gas
Was at a hammer-in near Akron a couple weekends back and this older smith with about 30 years in flat out called propane forges 'cheating' in front of like 15 people. But then I counted and 9 of the rigs set up in that barn were gas, including two of his own students. So which is it, does fuel source actually matter for learning hammer control, or is this just an old grudge thing? Curious what folks here think, especially anyone who switched from coal to gas or the other way around.
