TIL my neighbor thought my anvil was a giant doorstop.

He tried to use it to prop open his garage door and bent the hinge.

Seriously, a bent hinge isn't the end of the world. Garage door hinges get messed up all the time from normal use. You can probably straighten it out with a hammer or just replace it for cheap. Anvils are built to take a beating, so it's not like it broke the thing. Sounds like your neighbor made a dumb mistake but the damage is minor. Not worth getting too worked up over.

Yeah but "normal use" doesn't usually involve an anvil. I saw a video where a bent hinge messed up the whole door's track alignment.
