Spent 3 full days trying to fix a forge blower that just needed a $4 part
I was convinced my old Champion blower was toast. It kept making this grinding noise and barely pushed air. I tore the whole thing apart, cleaned every bearing, even called a buddy who works on old motors. After 3 days of frustration, I noticed a piece of packing tape had gotten sucked into the intake. I pulled it out with tweezers and it ran perfect. Felt like a total idiot, but also relieved. Has anyone else spent way too long on a simple fix like this?

Wait, isn't that kind of the fun part though? lol. I'd take three days of detective work over just replacing parts blindly any day. You actually learned something about how that blower works instead of just throwing money at it.

I get what you're saying about the detective work being fun, but man, three days? That's not fun to me, that's just frustrating. If I had to spend three days just to figure out why a blower motor isn't working, I'd probably lose my mind. I mean, sure, you learn something, but at what cost? Time is money, and if I can swap a part in an hour and be done with it, I'll take that every time. Plus, sometimes you replace a part and it just works, no mystery needed. I'd rather save the detective work for something that actually matters, like finding my keys in the morning.
