Rant: heat treat warped my knife blade after 2 days of setup

Spent 2 full days dialing in my forge temps in Tulsa, then one split second too long in the quench and my 6 inch blade curved like a banana. Took me 4 more hours to straighten it with a press and I still lost the temper. Has anyone else had a quench tank oil temp issue cause this kind of headache?

Did you try preheating the oil to around 120 degrees before the quench?
