TIL turning on subtitles made me finish 3 seasons of a show I kept quitting
I kept bailing on "The Bear" about 15 minutes into every episode because the kitchen chaos and whispering made me miss half the dialogue, and I'd get lost and give up. Last month my sister was visiting and turned on subtitles while we ate dinner, and suddenly I followed every single line and blew through the whole first season in 4 nights. Now I put subtitles on for everything, even comedies, and I've finished 3 shows that sat half watched in my queue for over a year. Does anyone else do this, or am I just losing my hearing at 38?
