Serious question, did starting The Wire on a whim three weeks ago wreck anyone else's sleep?
Three weeks ago I figured I'd try one episode after the kids went down, you know, just to see what the fuss was about since everyone mentions it. Cut to 1:40am and I'm four episodes deep on a Tuesday with a school drop-off at 7. Last Friday I actually fell asleep on the couch at 11 and my wife took a photo of the remote still in my hand. The scary part is I'm only on season 2 and people keep telling me it gets better, which honestly feels like a threat at this point. I've mainlined shows before but nothing that had me saying "one more" at 2am for six nights in a row. Has anyone else had a show mess with their sleep this bad, and did you just power through or set some kind of rule?

Watched a buddy do the exact same thing and he started setting a hard stop after one episode, phone alarm and all, because he said the 2am thing was wrecking his whole week.
