Remember when you had to wait a whole week for the next episode?

Last week I was rewatching 'The Wire' and just clicked 'next episode' without a second thought. Three years ago, I had to plan my whole Tuesday night around the 9 PM airing on HBO. Makes you appreciate how easy it is to get lost in a story now. What's a show you've binged that you used to have to wait for?

Honestly my friend tried to binge 'Breaking Bad' last month and said it felt flat. He missed the whole water cooler talk at his old job, where everyone would freak out over a new episode on Monday. Like that 'Face Off' episode, he said watching it live with everyone online losing their minds was half the fun. Tbh it lines up with what @the_pat said about community, you just don't get that buzz clicking next.

Saw an article about how weekly releases build more community discussion... you don't get that with a full season drop. Just binged the old '24' series and it felt totally different without the weekly cliffhangers. The waiting was part of the fun, honestly.

The weird part is how it changes the way you remember a show... binging a whole season blurs into one long movie in your head. Waiting each week made every episode feel like its own little event, so the details stick better. My memory of watching 'Lost' live is way sharper than any show I've streamed all at once. That weekly gap gave your brain time to actually process what happened.
