I spent $40 on a show I ended up hating

I bought the whole first season of 'The Gilded Age' on Prime Video because the trailer looked good. After three episodes, I realized I just couldn't get into the slow pace and all the fancy talk. That's $40 I'll never get back for a show I didn't even finish. Has anyone else bought a season of something and regretted it right away?

Staring contests do get old after the first hundred episodes!

Maybe, but calling it "charm" feels generous. It was mostly just people staring at each other for five minutes before saying a single line. Hard to miss that when you try to rewatch now.
