I binged Lost in 2010 on DVDs from a friend, and rewatching it last month on streaming felt like a totally different show
Back in 2010 I borrowed all six seasons of Lost on DVD from a guy I worked with in Portland, and it took me almost two months to get through it because I had to wait for him to finish each disc. There was something about that slow pace that made the show feel huge, I would sit with each cliffhanger for days and talk about it with him at lunch. Last month I finally went back and watched the whole thing again on streaming, and I knocked it out in about 11 days just tapping play. The weird part is it felt smaller this time. No waiting, no discs, no buddy handing me season 4 in a Ziploc bag with a scratch on episode 3. I could not believe how much the waiting had been part of the fun for me. Now every episode just bleeds into the next one and I forget what happened two nights ago. Has anyone else gone back to a show they binged the slow way and found the fast way ruined it a little?
