Hot take: Slow burn shows like 'Dark' are way better than fast paced shows like 'Money Heist'
I binged both over the last month, first 'Money Heist' then 'Dark'. With 'Money Heist' I was hooked fast but by season 3 it felt like the same chase scene over and over lol. 'Dark' took me 4 episodes to even understand who was who but once I got it, every episode had me thinking about it all day. The payoff was way bigger because they actually planned the whole story from the start. Anyone else find slow shows stick with you longer or am I just weird?

Right, but Dark rewards patience while Money Heist just rewards your attention span.

Oh man, @paulw63 my buddy tried explaining Dark to me twice and I fell asleep both times but Money Heist kept me awake with snacks.

Dark really is a whole different beast though... it's like homework with a really good payoff at the end. Money Heist just grabs you by the collar and doesn't let go, no thinking required. I tried watching Dark on a weeknight and ended up taking notes, felt like I was back in high school. But once you get past the first few episodes and start connecting all the little things, it kind of clicks in a way that makes you feel smart. Still, I get why people bounce right off it... it's not exactly relaxing TV.
