Found a way to skip the filler episodes in long running shows during a power outage in Phoenix

I was stuck at home last summer when a monsoon knocked out our power for about 4 hours. Had nothing to do but browse on my phone. I stumbled onto a fan made list online that mapped out every single filler episode for a 500+ episode anime I had been trying to get through for years. It cut my watch time down by like 40%. Never realized how much time I was wasting on episodes that had nothing to do with the main plot. Anyone else use those skip lists or do you just power through everything?

Oh yeah, skipping filler is the only way to survive those long shows.

Totally agree with you on that @adam_hernandez. I remember binging this one show that had like 10 filler episodes in a row and I almost gave up on it completely. I started skipping anything that looked like a side quest or dream sequence and suddenly the whole thing was way better. It's crazy how much padding they throw in just to stretch the season out. Once you learn to spot the filler you never go back.

Whoa hold up, I gotta disagree with you guys a bit here. I actually like watching the filler episodes in shows like Naruto or One Piece because it gives me a break from all the super heavy plot stuff. Some of my favorite moments from long shows are these random side stories where the characters just get to be themselves and have fun. Like that beach episode in Bleach where everyone is just goofing off, thats the kind of stuff that makes me feel connected to the characters. I get that people want to rush to the end but I feel like skipping too much makes the whole experience feel hollow and rushed. To each their own but I'd rather sit through a boring side quest than miss out on a hidden gem of a character moment.
