Changed my tune on fantasy shows after episode 47 of The Expanse

Honestly, I always thought fantasy TV was just dragons and swords, not my thing at all. Then I hit episode 47 of The Expanse last week, and the way they handled the protomolecule reveal just clicked for me. It surprised me that a sci-fi show could have that much emotional weight and world building. Anyone else have a show that totally flipped your view on a whole genre?
