Unpopular opinion: I tried to fix my own toilet leak and flooded the apartment below me
I was in my bathroom in Portland last Saturday trying to save $150 on a plumber and cranked the supply valve the wrong way, which snapped the line and sent water pouring through the floor. My downstairs neighbor knocked on my door 10 minutes later holding a soaked ceiling tile. Has anyone else caused a flood trying to DIY something small?
