My sister visited last week and pointed out my plates were facing the wrong direction, blocking the spray arm, and now my dishes actually come out clean.

Took me 8 years to realize I've been loading my dishwasher wrong this whole time" - oh man, I had a friend, Jess, who thought she was going crazy because her dishes would still have food stuck on them after a full cycle. She finally watched a YouTube video and realized she was putting her bowls upside down, so all the water just pooled in the bottom of each bowl instead of washing them out. She also had all her forks pointing up in the basket, which she thought was fine, but the video said they should face down so the spray hits the tines better. Now she sends me photos of her clean plates like it's a huge life win. How long did your sister take to notice yours?
