Took a $700 job over my anniversary trip, wife was not thrilled

I picked a last minute wiring gig in Akron over the weekend cabin my wife booked, figured I'd make it up to her later. The job ran 14 hours, the client paid late, and now I'm sleeping on the couch with a cat who judges me. Anyone else ruin a good thing chasing a quick payout?

Walked into that same trap three years ago with a small engine repair job on our tenth anniversary.
