That 'drink 8 glasses of water a day' thing turned out to be total BS
I read this fact from a doctor's blog (random, I know) that the whole 8 glasses rule came from a 1945 health pamphlet with zero science behind it. I'd been forcing myself to chug water for months and getting headaches. Anyone else fall for a health 'fact' that turned out fake?

Wait, "headaches"?? That's wild. I had the same thing happen to me - I was forcing down like 10 glasses a day because I thought I was being healthy and my head would start pounding around 3pm every day. I thought it was dehydration but it was actually the opposite. Once I dropped to just drinking when I'm thirsty the headaches went away in like 2 days. Its crazy how we just blindly follow stuff without questioning it.
