Rant: I hit 300,000 miles on my truck and everyone says congrats, but I think that number is a fail
Last Tuesday I rolled past 300,000 on the odometer just outside of Flagstaff, and my cousin acts like I won something. Here is my unpopular take: that number does not mean I am good at my job, it means I held onto one truck for nine years because I was too cheap to buy another one. Most folks in my line would have traded in at 200,000, and honestly they were probably right. Anybody else think a big milestone number can just be a sign you waited too long to move on?
