My dad in Fargo said never rent a truck on a Saturday, and I learned why the hard way
I ignored his exact words, "never on a Saturday son," and booked a 15 foot U-Haul for 9am on a Saturday in July to move out of my apartment on 13th Ave. The lot had 4 trucks but only 1 girl at the counter, so I stood in line 2 hours, got the keys at 11:30, then spent 40 minutes stuck behind a parade downtown and missed my reserved elevator slot at the new place. Has anybody else ever had a parent's weirdly specific warning turn out dead on, or did I just get unlucky with the timing?
