I used to keep every receipt in a shoebox and now my kitchen table is finally clean
For about 4 years I stuffed every receipt into this old Nike box under my bed. Groceries, gas, that one $212 vet bill for my cat, all of it, just jammed in there. Last weekend I finally dumped the whole thing out on the kitchen table and it was 11 inches deep. I started sorting them and found a receipt from a Target in Frisco dated March 2021 for a mop I do not own anymore. Half of them were faded to nothing anyway. Now I just take a photo of each one with my phone and drop it in a folder called Receipts. Way faster, and the box is in the recycling bin. Curious if anyone else held onto paper receipts way too long or if I'm the only one who did this.
