I Used My Toaster Oven as a Storage Shelf for 2 Years

Last Tuesday I went to make a small pizza in my toaster oven and pulled out a stack of junk mail, a phone charger, and a pair of scissors I had been looking for since 2022. That's when it hit me: I had been treating the thing like a cabinet this whole time. a real kitchen tool got turned into a junk drawer I never cleaned. I just moved the mail pile to the counter and finally used the oven for actual toast this morning. Has anyone else accidentally turned an appliance into furniture without noticing?
