I tried to fix my own garbage disposal with a YouTube video and flooded my kitchen at 11pm
The sink was clogged so I watched a 4 minute video, pulled the disposal apart, and somehow knocked the drain pipe loose instead. Water shot everywhere for a solid 30 seconds before I found the shutoff under the sink, and I spent $180 on a plumber the next morning who just laughed at me. Does anyone actually fix their own appliances or do we all just pretend we can?
