I let a parking ticket sit for 90 days and the late fee hit $362

I kept telling myself I would fight the $65 ticket from downtown Austin and just never did, so by the time the city sent the final notice the total had snowballed past five times the original fine. Has anyone actually won a fight against a ticket this old, or am I just paying it and moving on?
