I chose the cheaper movers in Phoenix and my $400 sofa ended up on the sidewalk in the rain

Last August I picked the $85 an hour crew over the $140 an hour one to move my one bedroom apartment across town, and they showed up with two guys and a pickup that fit about half my stuff. They left my sofa on the curb on Camelback Road during a monsoon while they went to get a second truck, and it was soaked by the time they got back. Has anyone actually found a moving company that sends enough people the first time?
