Dropped my phone in a truck stop toilet outside Gary, so is the lesson buy a case or stop taking it in there?
Last Thursday around 2am I'm at the Pilot off I-65 in Gary, Indiana, and my phone slid right out of my hoodie pocket and into the bowl. I grabbed it fast, dried it on a clean rag, and it's been fine for 6 days now, which honestly surprises me. So here's the argument I keep having with myself: one side says a $40 case would have kept it off the floor of a gross bathroom, the other side says a case wouldn't have stopped me from hauling it in there at all. My buddy says the real fail was ever carrying my phone into a truck stop bathroom, and I think he might be right but I hate admitting it. Which one is the actual mistake here, the no-case thing or the taking-it-in-there thing?
