Switched from Zip ties to Velcro for cable management on builds

Ngl, I used to swear by black Zip ties on every bike I built, but after 3 years of replacing customers' cut ties that got brittle and snapped, I finally went all in on Velcro straps last month. Has anyone else made that swap and noticed the same thing with the plastic drying out?

You mentioned the plastic drying out, but zip ties actually get brittle from UV exposure, not just age. If you keep them out of direct sunlight they hold up way longer. Still, Velcro is easier to work with when you need to adjust things later.

Right, because UV is the real enemy here, not my terrible knot-tying skills.
