Struggling with hydraulic brake bleeds on modern mountain bikes

Mechanical discs were so much simpler to maintain back then.

Ugh, tell me about it. I once got brake fluid ALL over my garage floor trying to bleed a stubborn lever. What a mess.

Actually, mineral oil from Shimano/SRAM is way less harsh than DOT fluid if that's what you spilled. Much easier on garage floors and paint too.

Mineral oil stains just as bad in my experience.
