Remember when truing a wheel meant spokes, not sensors?

Honestly, I get a little wistful about the old days. Started in a shop back in 2009 in Portland, and we trued everything by hand with a spoke wrench and a truing stand that had a dent in the base from someone dropping it. You felt every nipple seat, you heard the ping when tension was right. Now we got laser gauges and digital tension meters on every bench, and the new kid can true a wheel in 12 minutes without even spinning the rim by hand. It's faster and more accurate, sure, but I miss that finesse. Ngl, sometimes I bust out my old Park stand and do it the slow way just to feel connected. Anyone else hold onto those old habits even when the tech is better?
