I tell riders to ignore the hype on ceramic bearings

They don't make a noticeable difference for most people on the road. You're better off spending that cash on a proper fit or better tires.

Those 1-2 watts are just nothing for how most of us ride. Fitting the bike or getting better rubber is always money better spent.

yeah saw a breakdown somewhere that showed the actual watt savings are tiny, like maybe 1-2 watts at best. You gotta be putting out pro level power to even feel that. For the average person riding around town or even in a fast group, it's just not there. The marketing makes it sound like a magic bullet but it's honestly one of the last things I'd upgrade. Totally agree that money goes way further on comfy shorts or getting your position dialed.
