Dropped $180 on a Park Tool truing stand and honestly it paid for itself in 5 wheels
I kept putting it off forever because $180 felt like way too much for a home setup, and I was just using the frame and a zip tie like some kind of animal. Then a buddy brought me 5 wheels off his old tandem that were so far out they looked like tacos, and I got all of them dead straight in one evening. My LBS quoted him $40 a wheel, so that one job basically covered the stand right there. Now I'm kinda wondering what tool you all slept on the longest before finally buying it?
