Am I the only one who didn't know a bike chain wears out in about 2,000 miles?
I was reading through the Park Tool repair help page last week and it says most chains are done by 2,000 to 3,000 miles. I've been riding the same chain for two seasons without ever checking it, so now I'm second guessing everything. Does anyone check with a gauge every few hundred miles, or do you just wait for it to start skipping?
