Hit 500 briskets smoked, that number surprised me more than I expected
I keep a little notebook by my smoker, and last Sunday I wrote down brisket number 500 at my place in Waco. That number felt huge because I started in 2015 with a beat up charcoal drum and I never thought I would stick with this hobby that long. It made me realize how much practice matters, my first 50 were dry or tough but my last 100 have been pretty consistent. Has anyone else counted their cooks and gotten shocked by the total, or do you just lose track after a while?
