Serious question, did I get scammed by a $3 thrift store bread maker?
Picked up a bread maker at Goodwill in Tacoma for $3 last Saturday. The box said it worked. Got it home, and the paddle just spins loose and the heating element never gets warm. I ran it twice for 20 minutes each and the dough sat there cold as a rock. Opened the bottom and found a cracked wire running to the motor. Add the $6 I blew on bread flour and yeast and I'm down $9 for nothing. Does anybody know if those heating elements can be swapped or should I just cut my losses?
