Old mechanic's toolbox at an estate sale in Akron changed how I work

I grabbed a beat-up Snap-on box at an estate sale for $40 and found a hand-written manual inside from the 60s about adjusting valve lash on old flathead engines. Matching one of the specs in that manual to a 1958 Ford I was fixing for a guy got it running quieter than it had in 10 years. Anyone else ever buy junk that turned out to be a goldmine of info?
