Everyone praises the $2 spice rack, but I'm here to say skipped it twice

Walked by a wooden spice rack at a St. Vincent de Paul in Dayton last Saturday, tagged $2, and I left it both times. People keep grabbing these thinking they're organizing gold, but the jars are too shallow for whole nutmeg or bay leaves, and you'll toss half of what's inside anyway. I've tested three racks like that from estate sales since 2019, and they all turn into dusty shelf decor within a month. Am I the only one who sees these as clutter traps instead of bargain wins?
