Why does nobody talk about how clipper blades dull way faster on dirty hair
I did a cut on a guy who came straight from a construction site in Phoenix last Tuesday, and my blade was dragging by the end. Same blade I used earlier that day on clean hair was fine. I think the grit and sweat just chews through the edge in like half the time. Has anyone else noticed that or am I just imagining it?

Phoenix grit in July? Your clippers are basically sandpaper at that point.

Yeah I learned that one the hard way. I started keeping a second set of blades just for the summer months, swap them out when the grit starts getting bad. You can actually soak them in a little bit of CLR or even vinegar for an hour to dissolve the mineral buildup, just make sure to dry them really well after. It saves you from having to buy new ones every few weeks.
