Took me 3 weeks to figure out my clipper blade gap was off by a hair

Been cutting for 5 years. Swapped to a new blade and suddenly my fades looked trash. Blamed the clipper. Blamed the comb. Even blamed the lighting. Then I pulled out a feeler gauge and realized I was off by 0.2mm. Total newb move. How do you guys check your blade alignment without going crazy?

Oh man, that feeler gauge moment is brutal. Been there too long to admit how many times I've done it. You think you have everything dialed in and then you realize you're chasing a problem that's literally 0.2mm wide. It's like the clipper is gaslighting you. Honestly, I just go real slow now and check with a gauge before every cut. I also keep a little magnifying glass on my station to really see the gap. It's a pain but beats ruining a whole fade and starting over.

Feeler gauge is the way, no shortcuts with clippers.
